Not Every Binness is Good Binness

What’s really good people?

WOW! First blog for the year 201-Tre. I intentionally gave you all a break from the “World of P” last week because I just felt I wanted my peoples to focus on their families, goals and plans for 2013 without having to hear my big mouth on finding SOLUTIONS instead of making RESOLUTIONS Nah Meaaaaaaaaan! Ahhhhhhhh; I see yall liked that huh? So off the break, today is January 11th and I still got people emailing, texting and greeting me with the Happy New Year routine. Now I know am going to catch some flack for this but hey I was told be my friends and family that I have no filter a few days back so why stop NOW?  Let me get to the point, saying to someone Happy New Year two weeks into the calendar year is like still having your Xmas lights up past January. It is simply bad etiquette and very tacky so please don’t feel obligated to give the same response to the yahoooooooo that does it to you. I BEG! So what did I miss in the little week or so we were apart? I see that we didn’t go over the Cliff here in the U.S. Thank God! A brother got bills to pay and that government CHEESE sho is getting smaller every year too. There is so much to discuss but I try not to make my postings a “Dear Sally/John” letter. So for the sake of keeping my viewers and readers happy I have a quick announcement, I will be heading to the African Nations Cup in a matter of days and will be in South Africa to root on Nigeria for 2 weeks. Therefore; during my time on vacation in the true land down under I will be broadcasting the daily “P Report”. I am not sure exactly what I will be discussing or covering but I plan to make it funny, entertaining and educational. Feel free to follow me on my twitter handle @myomonaija or on my Facebook page “MY OMO NAIJA” for daily postings.

Ok people; let me get focused…

I know I sure sound like a REAL hypocrite right about now since we are heading into week three in January but I heard something today while at work that I believe will really serve as catalyst for how I conduct all my dealings for the remainder of the year. I wanted to share it with you all because I believe in the premise or idea that community or group learning is an invaluable tool plus I like you guys. I basically overheard a seminar, well they mostly call them webinars now for the IT savvy folks and during the presentation the gentleman made a statement that everybody in my office connected with instantaneously. His statement; “Not Every business is Good Business”. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm!

I mean the minute we all heard it we looked around at each other like Oh SNAP! It is so true people; think about your personal, professional and social lives, groupings and communities you are a part off. My first impulse was to almost look around my immediate surroundings to see if that statement represented anybody around me at that moment in the office or in my life outside of it in general.

So I am going to leave and exit this week’s posting on that note. This year expect my commentary to be edgier, contentious and hot. This is not for the faint of heart. I plan to challenge your thinking more, tackle our flaws us as a human race better and encourage you to come up with your own thoughts and answers to not accept the status quo. You READY?

I just want you all to think...

Na Wa O (NWO)!

Na Wa O! - is slang or a pidgin term used back home in Nigeria and other parts of Africa that simply illustrates something unbelievable, makes you speechless or leaves you flabbergasted.
